Favourite Online Shops

I have made a wonderful discovery recently.... online shopping! My first online shopping experience was the purchase of a bottle of Marc Jacobs 'Daisy' eau de toilette (see post below). I have been researching online shopping ever since, and have found that many of my favourite clothes shops also have online stores. The excitement happens when, for example, you have already bought a little Sambag ballet flat in coffee colour, and you discover that the online store has the same shoe in three other colours that weren't in stock in the store!!! So, here are some of my favourite online shops. Happy shopping!

Outfit Ideas

I was inspired to put together this inspiration board when I purchased a beautiful tiger print scarf from French Connection today. Amazing how you can put a new scarf together with a simple black cardie and belt and it creates a whole new look. Details of items are below:

* Pure wool cardigan from Saba (a few seasons old);
* Patent leather belt from Cue (current stock - approx $90);
* Tiger print caramel coloured scarf from French Connection (new stock as of July 2011 - $39).

Am looking forward to sharing more outfit ideas soon!

Off-white Shirt

I bought this gorgeous off-white shirt from Esprit this weekend. Am very happy with this as the fit is nice and I will be able to wear it to work or casually. The price was AUD$89.95, and I'm pretty sure it is either new or current season stock in Australia. Bring on springtime!

New Natural Lipstick

I have been keeping an eye out for nice nude/natural lipstick colours, and found this great 'Loreal' lipstick in Target yesterday... difficult to see the colour from the photo, but it's a very subtle nude colour with a soft hint of pink. It is from their 'Natural' range and this colour is simply named 'Nude'.

Target (Broadway) had $10 off many of their lipsticks, which brought the price down to $15! I don't normally wear lipstick (normally just a lip pencil and lipgloss) but the idea of keeping a lipstick in my bag seems oh so glamourous... and so, here it is - my new lipstick!

First Online Shopping Purchase

I may have been a bit slow to try online shopping, but in the end, the prospect of being able to save money was just too enticing.

So, here is my new purchase: a 50ml bottle of Marc Jacobs 'Daisy' EDT.

The total amount I paid was AUD$56.59 (which included shipping from the US). From memory I think the in-store price from the big Sydney department stores was about $90. I checked out a few online stores before I purchased and simply went with the store which gave me the best price (and could ship to Australia). The place I ended up buying from is www.fragrancenet.com.

I saved a lot and the perfume is gorgeous!

Caramel Wedge

We're talking about shoes here, as opposed to an icecream, although these are just as delicious ;-)

I found these beautiful shoes in Nine West (Broadway, Sydney) during their sales. They were reduced to $84.50 Australian dollars. In case you are inspired to try them, the style name is 'Orsello', and they came in two colours, tan and black. I find them very flattering and quite slimming with a dress. They are  similar to the pair of wedges which Princess Catherine wore on the day after her wedding. It gave her outfit a look that was lovely and casual but elegant at the same time.
